Well here i am boxing day night and all the presents are away, the trees down and I find myself with time up my sleeve. So now its time to sit down and make my princess her 2nd birthday card for her birthday on Monday. I brought my sister inlaw the Something Sweet Stamp set for her birthday and the sweet treat cups. I had an Idea in my head and i'm quiet pleased with it. I'm not 100% sure on the colours at the moment but they are growing on me. I can't seem to stray very well from the nice neutral styles. Anyway I hope you enjoy and if you would like anymore info then please contact me and i'm more than happy to help

Well I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas yesterday and all are enjoying this beautiful boxing day. I thought I would share a picture of my two precious gems in there cubby house that Santa delivered to them. Unfortunately for Jaydon, Maiya has claimed it as hers and he's not allowed in LOL.

Well today I started another project. Not yet finished but still in the making. I thought I would show it to you anyway. Being a chef I love to cook but I seem to have recipes written down everywhere. I quiet often will ring my nan and ask for an old recipe of hers. So i decided I wanted to keep track of them and keep them all in one spot.

So I brought the Stampin Up ~ From the Kitchen of Set of stamps and have made a start on some recipe cards. I went to office works and brought a CD Box and am laminating them and going to put them in there so they are altogether. All I have to do is put a false bottom in the box as its a bit tall and then make dividers. But I made a good start on the actual cards.
Hope you have all had a good day :-)

Hi everyone,

So sorry I haven't updated my blog in such a long time. However I do have a good excuse. We welcomed Jaydon Christopher into our family on September 30th 2009. Life has been quite hectic since then, with the christmas season fast aproaching. However 1 week after coming home I did hold my first stamp and stack and it was a great success thank you everyone for coming :-)

I'm now going to post some pics of the projects that we made. But first off I have to show off my growing 'lil man

Here is an examples of one, I thought I had taken better pictures, unfortunately I can't find them.
The following card was cased from Josée Smuck's Blog which can seen here I also made this card design for our work invitations which I shall post later on.

Well I have been extremely slack in updating this, Alot going on and still no baby.... I am impatient mind you!!

The other day I made 2 birthday cards and had planned on taking photos of them to post, but as the camera is packed in the car. I had not got around to it. I have just realised I sent the other card to a close friend who has gone to the Gold Coast for a holiday so I shall ask her to take a picture when she gets back.

This is the other card, Its for my pop for his b'day. I've used the "all in the family" set and the "family accessories too" set. I quite like this card. I also used "Outlined for Fun" which I have not used a great deal but am impressed.

Well, Tonight my husband informed me collingwood was playing and he was off to watch half of it with his dad. I thought bonus peace and quiet. I knew I had a card I wanted to make for a dear friend whom I used to work with, who has just retired. So I sat down and made the following with 2 matching gift boxes. One for Maiya to give to her and one from me. Filled with yummy chocolates. :-)

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Well it was like Christmas here on Tuesday, Well for me anyway!!! My Stampin Up kit arrive and my gorgeous Hubby was kind enough to bring it home to me so i could play. I didn't get any stamping done in the end but I got all my stamps mounted etc and can't wait to play on the weekend. I have some ideas I want to play with and a card in mind for a lady that is retiring from my old work and we are having b'fast on Monday.

I had a little bit of time to myself today in between my nesting phase and made these cards

I saw the above card on splitcoasters, can't remember who it was by (sorry) I did change things a little bit.
Card stock: Sahara Sand, Baja breeze, Choc chip and also I think the Dsp was from the afternoon tea series but i may just have to check that
Ink: Baja Breeze, Choc chip and creamy caramel
Ribbon is the double stitched grosgrain choc chip

This Card I made just because I wanted to fiddle with some different flower stamps. I will have to come back and put more details. I got the Idea from Stephanie Luhrman. I really love this card
This is an anniversary card for my grandparents, once again the flower pot i'm really loving. Using the polka dot punches stamps that was available in the Sale-a-bration catalogue

Cleaning out my Cupboard

Well last night I decided to clean out my craft cupboard, in preparation for my exciting arrival of my Stampin Up kit that I will now have to find room for Woot Woot!!!

In my cleaning (maybe its nesting), I found my Scrapbook that I have nearly finished but not touched for so long, from a trip to Japan in 2002. I thought I might share a couple of pages, Before I show you some cards I have been working on today.
I have lots more but this is just a snippet. I will be back later with my cards. The battery just died in the camera, Time to charge up for "just in case" Don't want to get caught out with not having a camera for the hospital. Which also means i must back up photos and clear our memory card. Oh so much to do.......

Saturday, July 25, 2009

I keep meaning to update this but things have just been so hectic around here. Well the other week it was my Brother In Laws 21st so I made him a chocolate mudcake b'day cake with my nans special recipe and I must say it was quiet devine. And I also made his favourite chocolate ripple cake.
